I was writing under my other pen name and two of my historicals were set in Corsicana, Texas. Then, this one day, I got a call from my publisher and they told me the town of Corsicana wanted me to be the Grand Marshal of their Derrick Days Parade which celebrated their town's history.

I, of course, was all over that. It was such a trip. Just watch.
